View Full Version : Player Profiles
Labone, no matter what I do I cannot move your post into a new thread that I have created. It always puts your post as the original. I'd like to have the first post so that I can put links to the profiles to each player. Could you please copy your profile post and paste it in here please?
Cody Erickson #17 (Cody1774)
-Right Winger
-I think I'm a crafty play maker, although my player is considered a sniper.
-I really like to use the points as I gain the offensive end.
-Defensively I really stick to the high slot covering my point, and will collapse when the time comes. Although I will quickly back off to the top of the circles when the time is good.
-I create a lot of turnovers.
Mountain Time Zone, although my schedule is so messed up you could see me online during the day, or in the middle of the night. Or sometimes I will be on tons, and some times I will be offline for days. Sorry, but that's the way she is with my work.
Sean McGoldrick #26 (Seanmgz)
- Left Defense, left handed shot
- I play more like a Defensive player, but my actual player type is Offensive
- Not a huge risk taker, I like to be a bit more conservative, don't bite on dekes and stay a bit back rather than pinching.
- In the Offensive end I would make Tomas Kaberle proud, I try to get it to the forwards as apposed to shooting, although I will shoot more now that point shots are a lot more affective.
- On the Defensive side I'm 50/50 body/stick work, and I usually will be infront of the net trying to stick lift and rebound opportunities away
I am in the Eastern Time Zone, and still in School so I'll be available from anytime after 5 PM.

Prefer LW (rh shot)
Pass first, shoot second
Stand in front of the net
defensive forward (block shots, clear out the front of the net)
I don't mind playing defense...I'm at least passable (but nowhere near as good as OpticalNerve).
Not the best hitter, working on poke checking skills to compensate
weak on faceoffs
Eastern timezone (Toronto) and I have a mic
Work M-F 9 to 5 so free to play most evenings and weekends (after family commitments, errands and all of that other real life stuff of course).

Daemon Parent #67 (dso67)
C/G Right handed shot/ Right handed glove
- As a centre I think i do a good job with the faceoffs and try to create as much opportunities as I can for my teammates.
- With this year's boardplay, I love to get into the corners to dig the puck out and find a teammate in the slot. Also try to setup the pointmen as much as possible.
- Will always come back to help defensively and clear the slot of oppositions. I think I do a good job defensively.
- As goalie, I have a tendency to cheat in order to defend the cross crease. Something I can't do all the time, but i'm learning.
- I think I play really good positionally and can make those 'freaky' saves.
- I Don't let stupid goals effect me.
Central time zone. (Winnipeg) My schedule is so messed up it's not even funny. I try to play as much as I can, but having the wife and baby girl makes that not a reality at times. Which is good because I would play all the time. I'm almost always on thursdays and fridays during the day and sunday evenings.

Can play anywhere prefferably not C unless i can go change my faceoff attribute :P mostly LD
- I pinch alot to keep the puck in the zone i try to mix it up with hits/pokes/sticklifts still not really used to using boardplay all that much but i usually do it in the corners if i cant see a good breakout pass ill skate to the centre and dump it in i shoot alot in the offensive zone to no avail mostly mid/high blocker (on a lefty goalie) unless i have time to aim lower or i see a good pass i put no punctuation in my sentances and let them run on forever making them difficult to read im super aggresive on the puck carrier especially with a computer D-partner who just doesnt attack him so i have to but if im supposed to cover the pass i try to though i find it harder to sticklift people who dont have the puck and its difficult to position myself to intercept/block the pass and half the time i do block it it still manages to go right back to them and they shoot and score but if i had let it go by they wouldve scored anyway i didnt wanna do a profile thing because im bad at it but wtv there is my jumbled mess of a profile good luck understanding it all without having to re-read a sentance atleast once :P
Eastern time try to play on friday/saturday nights sunday afternoons and whenever my school has a ped day :P

RD - LW. I would agree that the only position I do not do well at is Center, not just due to face offs even positioning - I like to work the boards and have a beter feel when im down low working between the board arond the net and back to D.
Optical - I soooo wanted to comment on your post in the player of the month post. I agree 100% on NHL 2010 from a D standpoint! It seems it is much more difficult this year to take that lane and gaining the puck in our own end, and you have to be dead on trying to check an attacking offensmen. I actully have not played a club game due to the fact that I have been completely frustrated with my D play. with 09 I felt like I was a stud on D - this season I feel like Chris Chelios. I think what gets me, is that from a stand point of playing the game - I feel like I should be able to master the game from the stand point of positioning - but thats not the case at all, I get even more excited to jump in or go after a winger, rather then taking away his lanes. So you actually gave me a little peace of mind - and I do know that playing with a group of guys and knowing where and how they play will only help my play, so I have to quit being a puss and get out there and I can build up my cards having fun. I also think that playing next to you would be great, as I do like to play the defensive D man and would feel I could cover when you jump in the zone - same if I play LW, I tend to recognize when the D man is pinching and I pull back to take the point.....looking forward to it.
