Player of the Month - September

While I've played with a bunch of the guys on the team, there are a handful that I've played most of my games with. I had my best goal scoring game with dso (awesome on faceoffs and moving the puck) and my best point scoring game with SpaceAce (great passer and working the puck in the offensive zone), but I think overall my recomendation would be OpticalNerve. He was pretty solid on d in the first week, but playing with him over the last few days has been awesome...he's an excellent shutdown defenseman and makes a great first pass out. Having played d occasionally in the game I realize how tough it is to be effective at that position and even if he has an "off game" he's still one of the best players on the ice.

I say Cody mostly because of his giveaway/takeaway ratio something like 127/124 which is ridiculous and he actually managed 21 takeaways one game no idea how you did that (these stats are in team records) and i have the most giveaways on the team and not so many takeaways something like 177/87 so yeah :/ and i think ive been getting worse and worse especially in the shot blocking department :/ i used to average 2 a game atleast now i can barely manage 1 a game plus im not very good in the offensive end 2 goals 9 assists as a D in 35 games and a -11 or so (other 8 points were as forward and dont give me much credit for that because we played the same team twice and me and spaceace14 each got 6 points in those 2 games they were pretty bad) anyway yeah i make alot more mistakes then people give me credit for :/ my W/L record is something like 12/27 (though to say one positive-ish thing about 4 or 5 of those losses were from disconnecting im pretty sure we were winning them too and we did win a couple that i dced from but i still got a loss for it :S) anyway yeah lol im not potm material just yet especially recently been getting C+'s in team play as a D which was really bad in 09 and is still pretty bad in 10 :/

Well thanks to the few players that actually threw in their opinions. A little disappointed in that, but oh well, this decision for me is easy.

Without a doubt our player of the month goes to Anthony. Tremendous play on the blueline. Controlled the play very well. A monster when it comes to blocking shots, great at both ends of the ice. The team is much better when Ant is playing. Congrats to Ant, our Player of the Month for September.

Sorry, I actually replied to this thread a little bit in other forum topics. I have only had the chance to play with Cody, Ant, Labone, and Space - and I have to say all have played a great team game. We will only get better as we gel. I too would have voted for Ant - the kid lives online!! I play a few games and he makes it hard for me to leave. But he plays a great D and in this game that is tough, not to mention that when you have a player back on the blue line you move the puch much better than an AI so its a huge advantage. GREAT WORK ANT!!!
