I'd like to place a friendly wager on tonight's Flames vs Canadiens game. What I have in mind is that if the Flames win, you will have to change your online player's name to a Flames player of my choice. It can be anyone who has ever played for Calgary. The same goes for me if the Canadiens happen to win. Right now I am thinking you'll have to change to #24 Igor Kravchuk.

Do I sense a lack of confidence in your canadiens?

Hey,
I'll take some of that action...on dso's side of course. I'll up the ante. If the flames win, I will change my name to a player of your choosing as well. If the habs win, you change your name your name twice, once is dso's selection and the 2nd will be mine.
Well I don't see how I can benefit from this, but I accept Labone
I dont see the Flames losing, but in case Montreal has some sort of a miracle tonight, does that mean I will have to use a different name for two months? (a month for each guy)
Doesn't really add up since you guys will only sport a new name for the remainder of October.

I'm open to the length of time...we could do 2 weeks (as an example) per name etc. Basically it's just, if the Flames win we both do it, if the Habs win you do it twice. What about 2 weeks...probably easier if you want.

So how long are we doing this for (a month or a couple of weeks)? I'll have the name changed tomorrow.

The original deal with dso was for the remainder of the October season. But if it becomes too painful, or has lost its humor, then we can settle with just a few weeks. :)

I will have my player updated shortly...I haven't been home long. Stuck in the damn office in meetings all afternoon. Aaargh
I didn't know we could use goaltender's names for skaters. Perhaps I would have given Ken Wregget a strong consideration. :D

Cody - Since you Have won vs. dso and Labone and have not had to change your name, would you like to try your luck againsted the very team that ended your playoff dreams last year??? I know the odds are GREATLY in my favor, but go out a limb.....:)

NO WAY!!! DID I JUST SEE THAT HAPPEN???? Biggest comeback in history Cody...oops...I mean Karpotsev!!! What a crazy game - Calgary came out like they wanted to prove a point and they did. Hawks just kept chipping away and the second and third period seemed like the playoffs last year.
Well right now I'm the one angry. Unbelievable, Flames should be embarrassed. They better show some effin passion in Columbus tomorrow night.
dso, you're worried about what names are in the game? :S It was just a silly little bet, if it's that big of a deal don't worry about it.

How many of those do you blame on the goalie - I know the first four goals for Calgary maybe one was the goalies fault, we were skating in quicksand and the Flames were flying. I still think the hawks are a good goaltender away from being a contender..
I honestly thought that a decent tender would have had most of the Flames chances. Boyd's goal was a terrible turnover, not Huet's fault. Other then that, I didn't think any of the Flames chances were really that great. Even Iginla's breakaway shot was half-assed, as if he knew he was just effin with the goalie.
I believe most of Chicago's goals were the result of traffic and making life miserable for Kipper in front. So great job to Chicago for battling back, Flames should be ashamed.

I guess it will come down to lesson learned for both teams. CGY got a point on the road which is a good thing, it just left a sour taste in their mouth- big defenseman need to weather that storm. For the Hawks, they have to come out and be ready to play, they finished top four last year so teams are going to be ready each night to battle. Problem for the hawks is they don't have kipper, shoot high-score on Huet, so the have to all play D.

um...now that it's the end of the month, can I dump the Rocky Thompson name and get rid of the mullet? Cody I thought that you'd like to know that I had my 1st two fights as Rocky this week. I was 1 - 1, but the win was against Bob Probert!
I actually totally forgot to hold up my end of the deal with blkhwk!! :D
